Los MSA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that advocates on behalf of the Chicana/x/o and Latina/x/o community, provides financial assistance to AB540 (Dreamer) students, and offers culturally affirming executive coaching to college students.
We speak up for the Chicana/x/o and Latina/x/o community, and put our time and standing behind the people and causes that move it forward.
College costs more than tuition. We provide financial assistance to AB540 (Dreamer) students so that money is one less reason to step back from their education.
Our coaching is culturally affirming. It starts from the strengths students already carry, including their language, their families, and their communities, and helps them lead with confidence in professional spaces.
Los MSA grew out of Machetes S.A., a community organization founded in 1977 at UC Davis.
For decades, members have come together for conferences, cultural events, and acts of civic responsibility. Los MSA, our 501(c)(3) nonprofit, carries that work forward with a clear goal: opening doors for Chicana/x/o and Latina/x/o college students and standing with the community they come from.
